Kenneth Cole Black

A modern cologne that doesn't really evoke the idea of depth or darkness but is lively and very wearable. It begins with a minty, mildly green and citrusy beginning followed by a middle of very light incense or smoke notes. I perceive a distinct violet note in the middle and into the dry down. There is a slightly woody base that is really quite light as well.

This is a well crafted, slightly ozonic feeling cologne that is similar to other modern colognes like Lacoste Style in Play (Red) for example. Enjoyable but not extremely multi-layered. Great for office or casual wear.

I had purchased this one time...because I thought it was the one that this girl I liked was talking about that she liked.

...I did not like it as much.

What I do enjoy about Kenneth Cole Black is the violet note. It is definitely in the modern, ozonic cologne category.
